I come on Xanga today almost as a stranger.  I used to frequent this so often and then I come on and dont even know my way around the webpages anymore.

But for those who do not know how life is going with me, well it is amazing.  I just purchased a new boat.  It is a 25ft party barge and it is pretty much the ultimate.  Her name is Sandy and she is my girl.  I have had it for 5 days and have already been out on it twice.  And for those that came out with me on it, I appreciate your company and had an  awesome time.  Let me say that it is a lot better than laying in the swimming area on little bitty plastic rafts.  But dont think I have forgotten where I came from.  The Dam Site will always hold a special place in my heart.

Second off, I have started working at US Bank and it is fantastic.  I love all the people I work with and it is amazing how well they reward their employees for just doing their job.  I actually enjoy going into work, and after working at CBC I never thought I could go in and enjoy my job in banking.

Third, I am starting to see a girl and she is pretty much awesome.  I look back at past entries that I have wrote on here about another girl, and think how foolish I was.  I am just so happy right now with this new lady and thus far she fits the 64 item criteria that I thought would almost be impossible.  I am still suprised on how ignorant I can be to assume that I made a list that God could not fill, and wasted time, money and energy dating and talking to other ladies because I doubted God.  But with patience, God has blessed me and rewarded me.  He was just waiting for me to be ready.  I probably would not have appreciated this blessing as much.  Just as the prodicle son, who would not appreciate a grand welcome home feast unless he first dined with the swine.

Well folks that is all I will bore you with as of now.  But if you have any firther questions on the subject of my life, feel free to give me a call

The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me

I miss her so much.  And I don't think anyone relates.  I sit at home on a weekend, wondering why I am forced to lay in bed, alone.  Thinking back to one week earlier, her bundled up in the comforter and heavy blanket, me with just the sheet, my lips turning blue from the cold, but deciding that I wouldn't trade it in for the world.  Because finally she was here.

I find myself walking around in my room by myself saying jokes out loud only to find low laughter.  I guess it is a good thing I laugh at my own jokes.  If not, all I would hear would be silence.  But to hear her laugh.  Now that is an accomplishment.  Because unlike most girls that are with you, she does not laugh at everything you say.  She is the type that makes me have to be great.  Mediocre will not even get a smirk.

Missing her even more after this weekend with disappointments of close friends.  One that I saw only potential in and greatness, never expected me to show up at her house on a Saturday night.  And when I bust through the front door after being told, "No, Matt is there."  It only infuriates me more that I have to pound her bedroom door to let her know she is found out.  I guess in the process of people growing apart, finding their true loves, and me distancing myself more, I no longer have a girl to talk to.  Except the one I miss.  And she was no where to be found.

None of my friends understand and tell me I am foolish.  But as I tell them, I have done more foolish acts before, and they haven't been in love

Team Hazeslip Roster

It is better late than never.  But with 2006 being such an amazing season it was real hard for me to want to change the rosters and move things around, but once again we can not get stagnant.  2006 was the best season in franchise history and I am sure 2007 will not be far behind.

QB:  David Hazeslip - This quarterback just had the best season he has ever had.  His confidence right now is on cloud 9 and he feels he can put the ball where ever he wants.  Looking forward to 2007.

RB: Chris Loux - Can anyone really say anything but consistency.  The only person on Team Hazeslip that has held the same position since the 2001 season.  I am going to go on a limb here and say that I don't remember a single fumble.

FB: Matticus Bancroft - Moved to the fullback position last year, and made a great adjustment.  Was key to huge blocks that made great runs and long bombs.  Really opened up the playbook for Team Hazeslip.  Spent time with game footage which really helped his play.

WR: Casey Moore - Welcome back to your original spot.  After some off the field problems last year, he has returned to his regular position.  He has played with incredible integrity this season and his line blocks were amazing.

SR: Tammie "Wam Bam Tam"  Margo - A true player for Team Hazeslip.  Goes from not even on the roster to a key down getter on the team.  Dedication is all I can say.  Many practices and a lot of commitment has earned her this spot.

TE: Jessica Hazeslip - Once again a player back at their natural position and may I say that she is phenomenal.  She is by far one of the unsung heroes of Team Hazeslip.  Keeps sanity on the team and great for morale.  Great at quick passes.

C: Rocky Joslin - A cornerstone for the linemen.  Not a fumbled snap coming from him.  Very crisp with his blocks and led the league last year in pancakes.  Another player that has been at this present position for quite a long time.

RG: Lisa Chinnery - A bench rider for years but this year is different.  Always watching for the QB and making those huge blocks when needed.  So excited to have her actually starting this year because all that I see with her is promise.

RT: Terry Raney - The oldest member of Team Hazeslip and he brings a great attitude to the team.  He excels in so many areas that the other linemen might not be able to compensate for.  His veteran savvy is what helped win a lot of games.

LG: Shanna Chamberlain - A long time friend of the organization and after some contract negotiations and a couple of misunderstandings were cleared up, she was cleared for play.  Another linemen that adds a different facet for this team

RT: Josh Taylor - Another returning linemen which brings great confidence for this team.  It does not matter what the role is, he plays with tenacity and integrity.  Day in and day out showing great on the field and off the field abilities.

Bench (in no particular order): JoAnn Young, Laura Miller, Joey Eisenhower, Lonnie Hefner, Megan Houston, Nikki George, Robbie Hare, Tiffinie Taylor, Tom Acewicz.

Injured Reserve: Jamie House and Nick Harmon

Released: Alyssa Milner, Hannah Glover, Sara McCalman, Brandon Pulliam

Scouted: Cecily Gold and Derek Fowler

To those released do not look at this in a bad way.  You have paid your dues for the team and you are respected here.  We are moving in a different direction and I am sorry to say you are not a part of that.

To those on the bench, I say this every year, but do not look down at this.  You play in key packages, but you are not a starter yet.  There are many players getting their starts that were in the same position as you last year.  Stay hungry!

To the starters, I am pleased with all you have done this year to make 2006 the best in franchise history.  For those that are new, I am ready or you to shine like the stars you are.  I have put a lot of faith in you, and hope you do not disappoint.  Just all of you know that there are people on the bench that are as good or better than you.  But I believe in you and it is a bit of a gamble.  But that is the way we won last year.

This year is sure to have missed blocks, QB sacks, hurries, interceptions, dropped balls, fumbles, injuries and just plain out tiredness.  But just remember we play this because we love it and hope to be legends.

Interview with the Vampire

I Vant to Suck Your Blood

So quick question to all the Xangans out there.

If you were a vampire, would you bite your other friends to make them vampires?  Would you want to be bitten?  What would your vampire name be?

These questions were all asked and answered this weekend while hanging out with amazing friends.  I want to thank those who came up and made it a very memorable weekend, even all the way to the wind down at the Wing Shack.

So my answers to the questions:  Yes I would bite some of my friends.  There are a few that would probably abuse the power and I would just go ahead and kill them because I have been meaning to do that for a while now anyway.  But the rest of them would join me in the Eternal Vampire Nation.

Of course I would want to be bitten.  If any of you out there are vampires and have not bitten me yet, I seriously question our friendship.  I welcome the nocturnal life and the ability to live forever as long as I avoid stakes through the heart.

And most importantly my vampire name was decided this weekend by a group of vampire hopefuls and we have come up with Scorpagon.  Now if you don't get that name, that means you weren't there when we elected this name and I will have to explain it to you later the tangent we went on to get that.  I even made up my whole personality and everything.  Personality type:  BAMF

So if you want to be a vampire let me know, I might have "contracted" something this weekend.  But I have to know your name first because if it is lame, you stay the same.
